Cannigione is located on the west side of the Gulf of Arzachena of which it is its natural harbour. It still maintains the soul of the fisherman village it once was.
It's name came from the abundant thicket of canes that surround it.
Cannigione is truly charming. There are plenty of good restaurants where you can savour fresh fish, drink excellent local wine and taste the wonderful Sardinian hand-made pastries.
Escaping chaos, nonsense and daily routine to seek refuge on the Island of Ichnusa (from the Greek "imprint") is still a possible dream. And the imprint will remain.
